Knowing your wedding day will be one of the most important days of your life, Hermann Hill set out to create the ideal venue - one that would fulfill the vision of any bride.  We presented our architect with the assignment to design a spectacular venue and he did – Hermann Hill Chapel. 

Hermann Hill Chapel was designed for a dramatic, panoramic river and sunset view, and can accommodate about 200 guests. The pews are from an American Lutheran Church in Iowa; the stained glass windows are from Linwood Presbyterian Church in Kansas City.

At the end of each ceremony, double doors are opened for Hermann Hill's Signature Champagne Toast.  The bride and groom uncork a bottle of champagne off the balcony while their guests are served champagne and sparkling grape juice.  

Most packages include ferns placed in the large candelabras at the front of the Chapel.  Your florist may create custom flower arrangements for them, as well.  We can provide clergy for your ceremony, or you may use your own officiant.  Likewise, we have a keyboardist who can play during your ceremony, or you may want to provide your own musicians.

Our Chapel has a sound system which includes microphones and is equipped with stage lighting for great photography.  

The Bride's Room has makeup mirrors, vanities, a place to hang long gowns, a private restroom, clothes steamer, shoe bench, complimentary beverages, electric fireplace, and supplemental air conditioning to keep everyone nice and cool.  

 The Groom's Room has a more masculine feel.  Amenities include a big-screen TV, couch with recliners, bar, and refrigerator stocked with complimentary beverages.  It, too, has a supplemental air conditioning unit.  A private door leads to the side chapel when it's time for your ceremony.

The Media Room is the control center for lighting, sound and all technical aspects of your ceremony. 

The River Room (lower level) accommodates receptions of up to 50 guests, oftentimes for the Small & Simply Elegant Wedding.  Large restrooms are located just to the north.  This room is where the Bride, Groom, and Wedding coordinator hold their planning sessions. 

The Bride's Closet near the River Room holds a wealth of options in color and fabric for chair sashes and table overlays for your Reception.

Hermann Hill's Commercial Kitchen is equipped to handle complex multi-faceted meals for hundred of diners.  Breakfast entrees for Cottage guests also are prepared here.  Our chefs will help you create a custom menu for your event. 

A Full Bar Service is available in the climate-controlled Atrium, with both house and premium pricing available.  Guests may now choose to purchase premium brands of alcohol for a cash up-charge.  A Coffee Bar is standard with all packages.  The Premium Bar option includes a Gourmet Coffee Bar with liqueurs.  After dinner, buffet tables are replaced with pub tables and bowls of mixed nuts.  Bottled water is provided for guests 30 minutes prior to the end of the reception. 

The climate-controlled Pavilion, which is maintained at a comfortable 65 to 70 degrees, can accommodate 250 guests, with room for a DJ or band and dancing.  All sconces and chandeliers may be dimmed, and there are window shades to block the afternoon sun.  As the sun sets in the west, the Pavilion affords an excellent view as the shades are raised.  The wide walkway and patio outside the Pavilion are where some couples park unique vehicles, such as antique cars and motorcycles.  Grooms have even parked fire trucks at the Chapel.  

The Gazebo overlooking the Missouri River provides a dramatic backdrop for photos, especially at sunset.  In the winter, eagles can be seen soaring over the ice-filled river.  Some couples choose to have their "First Glance" here.  Others choose to have an outdoor Wedding with their ceremony at the Gazebo.  We have added an expanded concrete area for extra seating and ceremony musicians.  We can provide white chairs for up to 50 tuests and will add a set-up charge of $150 for cerermonies with a guest count of over 50.  (Chairs are available for up to 100 guests.) 

Riverbluff Cottages are popular with honeymoon couples and wedding guests.  Amenities include kitchens with breakfast stocked in the refrigerator, king beds, six-foot jetted tubs with aromatherapy fireplaces, see-through gas fireplaces, flat-screen TVs, and rain forest showers.  Each Cottage has a large deck or patio, overlooking the river, with a hot tub and gas grill.  Your Cottage deck is another great place to view both the sunrise and sunset. 

Unity Falls is located at the entrance to Hermann Hill Village.  Two small streams join into one, symbolizing the union of the Bride and Groom during the Wedding Ceremony.  This is also a great location for the "first Glance", an elopement ceremony, or wonderful wedding photography.
